Wai Hang Sanitary Manual Y-Type Three-Way Ball Valve
The Manual Y-type three-way ball valve is a valve device widely used in industrial pipeline systems. It plays an important role in the field of fluid control with its unique design and versatility.
Here is some basic information about this valve:
1. Structural features
Valve body design: The three nozzle fluid channels are at an angle of 120° to each other (partially designed to be 135°), forming a Y-type structure, which helps to slow down the speed of fluid rushing in and reduce the risk of damage to particulate materials. The three openings of the fluid channel are all equipped with valve seats, and the valve seat through holes constitute the nozzles to ensure the reliability of the seal.
Ball and seal: There are two through holes on the ball at an angle of 120° and passing through the center point of the ball, corresponding to the valve body nozzle. The ball and the valve stem are an integrated structure, and the fluid flow direction is switched by rotation (usually within 120°). A clamping block and an internal sealing structure (such as polytetrafluoroethylene PTFE or metal material) are provided between the valve seat and the ball to ensure the sealing performance.
Material diversity: The valve body material can be cast iron, cast steel, stainless steel, etc., to adapt to different media and working conditions. The material of the sealing ring is selected according to the needs, such as high temperature and high pressure resistant Hastelloy or corrosion resistant PTFE material.
2. Working principle
The Y-type three-way ball valve controls the flow direction of the fluid through the rotation of the ball, which is mainly divided into two modes: diversion and confluence:
Diversion mode: The fluid enters the valve body from the inlet and flows out from the two outlets after being guided by the ball. Adjusting the rotation angle of the ball can change the diversion ratio of the two outlets.
Confluence mode: The fluid enters the valve body from the two inlets, and merges into one fluid after being guided by the ball and flows out from the outlet. Adjusting the angle of the ball can control the flow rate and flow direction after the confluence. ,
3. Advantages
Low fluid resistance: The Y-type flow channel is designed to be flat, reducing turbulence and energy consumption.
Flexible operation: Supports multiple operation modes such as manual, electric, and pneumatic, and realizes remote control.
Reliable sealing: The contact surface between the ball and the valve seat is small, with less wear and low leakage risk.
Corrosion and high temperature resistance: Optional materials can adapt to complex working conditions, such as stainless steel, duplex steel, etc.
Easy maintenance: Simple structure, easy internal cleaning and seal replacement.
